Transportation at The Orlando International Airport

When it comes to transportation, the comfort and ease can be felt with every step of the way. The MCO Airport has several options to choose from. These options include taxis (both licensed and independent), a train, car rental agencies, shuttle buses, and a Lynx Bus.

The local bus service, a LYNX Bus, offers an affordable ride right from the airport to several destinations in the city. The list of destinations includes Florida Mall, Parkway Superstop, Orlando Premium Outlets, LYNX Central Station, Downtown Orlando, Fernwood Boulevard, and Oxford Road, to name a few. The trip from the airport to Downtown Orlando is around 40 minutes. The trips are convenient, affordable, and relaxing, making the LYNX Bus a popular choice for travelers!

The shuttle buses offer even more options for travelers. The out-of-town destinations for shuttle buses are countless! The list includes destinations like Daytona Beach, Deltona, Palm Coast, Miami, West Palm Bay, Tampa, Clermont, Belleview, and Silver Springs.

The selection is even more varied when hotels and resorts are considered! Many hotels, especially ones that are in the vicinity of the MCO Airport, offer their own shuttle bus services to bring their guests directly to the hotel from the airport. This option also extends to a select few resorts. To know whether your hotel or resort offers such services, it is advisable to contact them directly to acquire up-to-date information on the matter.

On the first level of Terminals A and B, car rental agencies can be found. Some of the available car rental agencies include Avis, EZ, Hertz, and Budget. Car rental agencies that are not located at the airport may offer free shuttle bus services from the airport.

As for trains, there is, unfortunately, no Amtrak station at the airport. The closest Amtrak station is, however, 12 miles from the airport and is easily accessible by either a bus or a taxi.

Taxis are a great option if you’re short on time! Downtown Orlando is less than 25 minutes from the airport, by taxi. Taxi services offered by the airport include a host of companies that often require pre-booking. You can also definitely pick up a taxi right outside the airport.
